These sessions cover all of the pertinent information which you will need in your role as assessment leader for each term and so every term is different.

This term, some of the areas we cover are:

• The new reception baseline assessment – some of the major changes
• Unpicking some of the messages in the Ofsted report; ’Strong foundations in the first years of school’, which I predict will be quite a pivotal report at this time of change in the curriculum
• National data – particularly data for pupils from a disadvantaged background messages from the 2023-4 moderation cycle for Year 6 colleagues
• Changes to Ofsted, the curriculum review
• The IDSR

Colleagues will be able to download the presentation as well as two handouts this term – the assessment calendar (which some of you may remember I produce every year, month by month for the key assessment dates at all key stages) and a y/n questionnaire which may support schools to consider the implications from the Strong foundations report.
